Mr. Roosen is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Osisko Mining Corporation (TSX: OSK, Frankfurt: EWX). A graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines, Mr. Roosen has over 25 years of experience in mining and development on the national and international scale. Mr. Roosen is a founding member and Chairman of Eurasia Holding AG, and currently holds position on the Board of Directors of Rio Novo Gold Inc., Astur Gold Corp., Dalradian Resources Inc., Condor Petroleum Inc., and Bowmore Exploration Ltd. Mr. Roosen, alongside the Osisko team, has been recognized for contributions within the industry, having received several awards including the Prospector of the Year Award2006, e3 Award2008, Entrepreneur of the Year Award2009 (all three from AEMQ, Association de lexploration minière du Québec), Bill Dennis Award2007 (PDAC, Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada), Mining Men of the Year2009 (Northern Miner Newspaper), CIM Syncrude Award for Excellence in Sustainable Development2010, and the 2011 Ernst & Young Quebec Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Gordon Stothart joined IAMGOLD in December of 2007 and brings over 20 years of industry experience to the position of COO. In his previous role, Gordon was responsible for technical management and development of three major copper projects in South America as well as oversight of the large scale Antamina and Collahuasi mines. Prior to this role, Gordon served as the General Manager and Operations Manager at Lomas Bayas in Chile and Antamina in Peru as well as holding Engineering Management positions at the Brunswick and Bell Mines in Canada. He also spent several years as a Manager within the Business Development group for a multinational metals producer and provided technical analysis for global acquisition opportunities. Gordon graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1987 with a Double Major in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering.
Mr. Hall was appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for Goldcorp on April 19, 2006. Mr. Hall is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in senior financial positions in the energy industry. He has held a series of progressively senior positions at various major business units of Duke Energy Corporation, culminating in the role of Vice-President and Treasurer. Mr. Hall also previously held the position of Vice-President, Finance, for Westcoast Energy until it was acquired by Duke Energy Corporation. Mr. Hall has a B.A. in Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.
He joined GFMS in 1995.
After graduating with degrees in commerce and economics from the University of Cape Town, Paul
worked as an economics researcher for a Member of Parliament in the UK House of Commons before
joining the United Nations affiliated International Lead and Zinc Study Group, where he was involved
in a wide range of economic studies and forecasts.
He has a PhD in the application of mathematical optimization to large non-linear economic systems
from the University of Nottingham in the UK.
Mr. Al Workman is a professional geologist and is one of the owners of Watts, Griffis and McOuat Limited (WGM). Mr. Workman has nearly 40 years of experience in the design and management of mineral exploration programs including significant work in base metals, gold, the platinum group elements, uranium and rare earth metals. His experience includes work in more than 30 countries. He was the exploration manager of Barrick Golds first exploration project, resulting in the discovery and development of the companys first new gold mine, the Holt-McDermott Mine, which produced 1.5 M ounces of gold. Mr. Workman lived and worked in Yemen from 1992 through 1995 and in Indonesia from 1996 through 1997. He has managed a large number of projects in Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Iran since that time. Mr. Workman is a qualified Mineral Valuator and has been deeply involved in WGMs work for governments seeking to improve their mining code to encourage investment. He is a strong advocate of transparency and the need for governments to recognize the need for competitive regulations if they are to attract investors. He also advocates using systematic exploration techniques in carefully constructed work programs as a means of reducing technical risk.
